three foster kittens make desires come true for the lady's final birthday
Three little foster kittens helped make a dream come true for a very special woman.
In early November, CatRescue 901, an animal rescue company based in Sydney, Australia, received a very special request from a family in Kellyville Ridge, NSW.
"My mother (Kathy) is terminally ill. Her 65th birthday is November 15th and it will be her last. She is an animal lover through and through and passed that on to me," wrote Gemma, Kathy's daughter, her message. "She worked as a kennel hand for a veterinarian for many years and I grew up caring for kittens over Christmas because she didn't want them in cages."
"We are unable to adopt and we are unable to provide care due to the care my mom takes. But I really wanted to surprise her with a house visit to some playful kittens for her birthday. That would make her do it." enjoy it and it would really satisfy one last wish. "
Jenny Storaker, co-director of CatRescue 901, saw the news and immediately contacted Kirstie, a volunteer caregiver. "Immediately Kirstie said she would like to," Jenny said to Love Meow.
Kirstie, who has three beautiful kittens and their mother cat in her care, was so excited to help. They worked out a day for the special event and on November 7th, Kirstie picked up the trio of cats (Fudge, Cookie and Brownie) and headed out to celebrate Kathy's day.
"When I arrived (that morning) Kathy had no idea I was coming and she was so surprised. She had the biggest smile on her face," Kirstie shared with Love Meow.

The three wild kittens came straight out of the porters and were ready to play. Kathy was so overjoyed that she got out of her wheelchair to meet the tiny cat guests. She sat down on the floor so she could get close to the tabbies.
"Throughout the visit, there was a whole host of emotions speaking about past cats, who owned them and helped them," Kirstie shared.
The kittens ran around the room, played with toys, hopped on Kathy's lap and gave her some kitten love. They offered a few cuddles and filled the room with their rumbling purrs.
There was no shortage of laughter that morning. The little mischief-makers played to their hearts' content and Kathy was completely in love with them.
"It was a real pleasure spending the morning with Kathy and her family," shared Kirstie Love Meow. "Rescue is a reward in more ways than helping kittens and cats in need."
The three cat sisters really enjoyed this special time with Kathy and even tried to snuggle under her jacket.
Fudge, cookie and brownie raised the mood for the beautiful family that day.
"(The Rescue) really made a dream come true for my mom. We had such a wonderful day as a family. We will cherish this forever," wrote Gemma to CatRescue901.
With the help of the tabby kittens, Kathy was able to grant her wish. She smiled big and big that morning and her heart was full.
